Cheongwadae
is a palace in which the Korean president performs his official duties and
resides. So Cheongwadae which is also called the Blue House is similar to the White
House in America. There are many rooms in Cheongwadae. Among these, I will
introduce some major and famous chambers.
The
first is Mugunghwa(the national flower of Korea) chamber. It is a place where the
first lady performs a task and greets foreign guests. As this room is for the first
lady, there are lots of the first lady’s portraits ever.
The
second room I will introduce to you is the reception hall. As you know in the
name of this, It is usually used for an event hall. When national guests visit
Cheongwadae, they are welcomed and enjoy banquet in here.
Recently
Cheongwadae is open to citizens and travelers. So, when you have a chance to
trip to Seoul, why do not you visit Cheongwadae? It will be a good experience!
